Guess what? More Babies!

8 05 2009

Baby the mother rabbit, to avoid confusion, had two more batches of babies after the past, what, like 3 months? Unhealthy, I know. But how am I supposed to keep watch on the rabbits every moment of the day to keep them from doing each other? Anyway, the first batch was 5 rabbits: Munchies, Honeybunches (dont ask – my seesteh named those), Pistachio (he has a MOUSTACHE! It’s flipping hilarious! My dad calls him groucho marx lol :D ), and a brownish gray one. She doesn’t have a name, I think my sister named it Baby the second??? :P FYI, they’re pretty big already – about the size of their father.

SECOND BATCH!!! 7 brown + black bunnies. What’s interesting: they were born underground, and now they’re unhumanfriendly. The previous bunnies were born in a coop – they’re super friendly! These guys are really squirmy and nervous. REALLY fast too. Not much else about them. Sure, we’ve carried them in a couple of times, but idk… bleh.

THIRD BATCH!!!!!!! AHH! We just found out about a third batch of babies about a week ago. AT LEAST TEN! and they don’t have open eyes yet! really adorable. One of them also has a moustache, like its (uncle?).

Our run is now over populated with rabbits. We now have about 23 rabbits. It should be called a Rabbit Coop! lol. What will we do with them? Well, since we know now that the local shelter has a surrender fee, we plan on going to the Berryessa Art and Wine Festival tomorrow, where there’s bound to be a lot of people looking at the booths of stuff there. So, we’ll bring a lot of selected rabbits with us to Give Away FREE. Probably all the black + brown ones, Biscuit/Calcium, and Baby the mother. If any of my readers nearby want rabbits, please comment!

COUNTY History Day: BOO!

8 05 2009

Hello friends… I have NOT been blogging for a VERY LONG time… :D Sorry for those of you who used to be fans of my blog :P . ANYWAY, a lot has passed.

FIRST of all, History day @ County… @#$##@$!!!!!!!!! (no, I’m not really saying that, it’s just that I can’t find any words to express my anger… how about: flippinblubberschnappindusselsupercalitripleflippinprofanipeter?) This is what happened. I went to the county contest, and when they judged me, they asked, “Do you have a process paper?”. My response: an immediate “D’OH!! DARNIT! AGHHHHH!” I FoRgOt cOMPLETELY about it! Well, after the judging, which went really well not counting that “one” part, I asked one of the teachers from my school who came to the county contest (Mr. Demayo). He said that I shouldn’t worry about it. Well, you know what? He was terribly WRONG. It turns out that the project that won was also from my school, but it was THIRD PLACE in the school contest. And I Did not, i repeat Did Not, win anything! and, the project that did win wasn’t CHANGED AT ALL FROM THE SCHOOL CONTEST! I spent the ENTIRE saturday preceding the contest (from 12 pm to 11 pm) working on mine! and it was Really GOod! boohoo.. I asked my history teacher (who also came) about how I lost. He also thinks it was because i didn’t have my process paper. For those of you who don’t know what that is, it’s the bibliography, a few questions answered about my project, and how I did my project. Just cuz i didn’t have my process paper! I feel so sorry for myself, sorry for myself, so so sorry for myself, sorry for myself. agh. but i’ve gotten over it. Besides, from friends that did make it to the state contest (would you believe it – all of the girls from our school won, all the guys – me and another guy – didn’t!), I’ve heard the state contest was tough competition. Mine probably wouldn’t have stood a chance. IDK. Well, at least I won the school contest. Good enough, right?

p.s. The next few posts will consist of old stuff that happened a couple of weeks ago, but just for conservation of the length of each post, I don’t want to include them all in here.

History Day: YAY!!!

17 02 2009

I WON THE HISTORY DAY CONTEST!!! YAYA!!! This was the first time I actually tried, and the first time I won. I’ve said that countless times. YAYAYAYAYAYAYAY! Here’s a picture of my history day project and me with it (from here)

That means more work for the county contest. Yughhh… I think it should be worth it, anyway. :D

Yay! Christmas Break has finally come… x}

Today was also the class spelling bee. A lot of people took a lot of time spelling the words, so we only got to the end of round two with 10 remaining spellers by the time school ended. I’M ONE OF THOSE TEN! YAY! Well, actually I was kind of expecting that to happen because I had a goal of second or first in the first place first of all anyway. (decipher that?)

Soooo…. From what I know, my family has a lot planned for this weekend and next week.

Today we’re having an early Christmas party at my grandparents’. Yay!

Tomorrow there’s a Christmas celebration at church (along with a skit I have to or get to perform in)

Sunday I have a piano recital :O, then we’re off to church and staying late there watching movies. :D

Monday… I might be going to a band jam with my dad and cousins.

Tuesday my family has a reunion of some of my long-good friends. Our tradition used to be to stay there late till 2 or 3 in the morning. I hope that’s so with this time too! :D

Wednesday we’re off to Houston to visit my mom’s side of the family.

Oh, and dreaded and big history day project I have to work on too. :O

Science Project: A.R.G.

19 12 2008

A stands for Arg.

R stands for Read the earlier post.

G stands for… Geometery got stuck in my head.

This is a pretty late post because its from about a week ago, but: By the “Read-Earlier-Post Postulate” and “Looking-At-The-Title Theorem” and the “Inference Postulate”, you can probably conclude that: I did not win the school science fair. In fact, I did not place at all. Boohoo. Hey, at least I made it to the Finalists section! (REmember. I’m an OPTIMIST) Our project was good, though. It would have won an award except it, according to my father who is exceptionally intelligent in this field of knowledge, the wording should have been more concise. The judges only have time to look at each project briefly, so the project should explain a lot in very short wording.

I’m going to Synopsys County Fair tho. I’ll edit the board and stuff over the Christmas break to make it more concise. :D My partner’s not so keen on going to Synopsys because she doesn’t want to go through the “huge” trouble of signing the papers and everything. Actually, it’s not that bad. Or again it might just be me. I really don’t know. But I know this: as long as it means my project wasn’t done in vain, it’s all good. :D

p.s. I know this isn’t a letter but I’m writing p.s. anyway.

p.p.s. For those of you who haven’t the intellect to have advanced to the level of arithmetic known as geometry yet or aren’t of age yet, Theorems and Postulates and Definitions are just stuff you’ll need to learn to prove certain stuff in geometry.

And finally, a half angry half nothing p.p.p.s. My sister won first in the sixth grade science fair division (bangs my head on the wall)… (oh wait maybe twice)… (or thrice)… (oh wait i just remembered hitting your head on something makes you lose brain cells… woops).

Rabbits Resolved

19 12 2008

Thank you everyone who voted on what we should have done with the rabbits. My family decided to give three babies and Ninja to Mr. Palla, Morrill Middle School’s  technology and ecology teacher. We still have Bambi, Baby, and Biscuit or Calcium. Two rabbits are still missing. :/ My school has a HUGE environmental center at the side of the school where I’m sure the rabbits will have a lot of fun. Sometimes they manage to escape outside the fence and roam in the field outside, but they always come back in.

It’s a little late for this post because we gave them to Mr. Palla about two weeks ago, but I haven’t posted about this yet because, well, I sort of forgot about it :L I just visited them today after school. I’ve seen three of them already and it seems like they’re doing really well! Well, good for them! :D

Optimizing Optimists

11 12 2008

Just a journal entry at school that I thought might be nice to put up on my blog.

I consider myself an optimist. I love to make people laugh- it makes the place more lively. If someone tries to put me down, I respond to in a a funny way instead of trying to come up with a comeback to put them back down. Also, some of the time, I can make a person’s day just by being positive all the time. It makes me happy when someone laughs because of me.

One other reason why I do not like to be a pessimist is because pessimists are usually very lonely. They have no friends because they are always so negative to everyone – not many people like them. I don’t like being angry because it causes pain for me and other people around me. Sometimes, though, there is no choice butto be down. Take, for example, when a person around me that is annoying me so much that I have to become unpleasant and angry at people. Another time I usually am “blue” is when I have tried so hard to do something, but failed. Even then, I say to myself that there is a second chance to do it (except for times when there aren’t really any more changes). I quote from a movie, “Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift – that is why it is called the ‘present’”.

I consider myself an optimist, and I think more people everywhere should be optimists when they can, too. Why? It makes the world a better, joyful, and peaceful place, beneficial to everyone. :D

20 Things to Do With Your BB Gun

4 12 2008

I don’t know. I just thought that it would be funny to make a post about BB guns since they’re my specialty. :P :D

Have you just bought a BB gun for your birthday? Or are you bored, staring at your coveted gun, wondering what to do? Or maybe you’re just surfing the web wondering what to do.

1. Shoot paper targets.

2. Shoot soda cans.

3. Go on an insect safari.

4. Revenge upon the stray cat that devoured your beloved pet.

5. Shoot the occasional annoying garden-eating squirrel.

6. Eradicate, eliminate, assassinate, destroy – the thing in the garage that your mother screams and runs away from.

7. Go cockroach hunting.

8. Go to the park and shoot down a kite (NO. Don’t really)

9. Pressurize a soda bottle (insert a short narrow tube into a drilled hole in the cap, make it AIRTIGHT, pump it up to 50psi with a bike pump, bend over and tape the tube to itself, and there you have it!) and blow it up. WARNING: only do this with a pellet gun. Or else the BB will go THoink… WHIZZZZZZZZZZ… sMACK. OWWWWW. (in English: richochet)

10. Blow up the old CD.

11. Pick a particular leaf on a tree and see if you can shoot it.

12. Go on a lizard safari.

13. Snipe trick or treater’s candy bags from behind the fence on Halloween to discourage them from celebrating the evil holiday.

14. Make little pouches of flour go PUFF.

15. Blow holes in a full water bottle and watch the water ooze out. (NO, Please don’t. Try NOT to waste water. Please.)

16. Shoot those little spinning target thingies over and over and over again.

17. Fire at the constantly-cawing crow that cackles the blubbersnappers out of you when you’re working outside.

18. Practice your shooting skills firing at the sun. x]

19. Splatter the flies bothering you in the summer with your superior BB.

20. The classic: Let the burglar know who’s boss.

BABY HAD BABIES!

22 11 2008

RECENTLY, my rabbit had babies! There are a whopping 6 :O of them. They are the “adorablest” things you would have ever seen. There’s a slight problem: We don’t know what to do with them. Of course, we would love to keep them, but food and space, and also reproduction management will become a HUGE problem. If you’re wondering what the “Baby” in “Baby had Babies” is all about, read my previous post about Baby and Ninja. Baby the brown bunny used to be small and like a baby, but now Baby’s quite a lot bigger. Possibly five times bigger. WHOA they grow fast. I urge you to vote on what we should do with them here and at my dad’s blog: hungpham.sj2.org

Oh, and vote here too! You may think the third second choice is pretty wacky. How would you butcher such adorable rabbits? (for a picture, see my dad’s blog)

You can vote for more than one answer. I know because I was undecisive between two, too. :D Or, you can always add your own. Please try not to vote more than once, unless you REALLY had to change your mind.

BREAK!

22 11 2008

Well, it’s finally Thanksgiving break. I need it. After numerous weeks of dreaded (well, not really for me, according to some people) tests in history about the Constitution, I’m poofed. Anyway, one small catch– I had to miss lunch on Friday to work on completing my last movie in video ed, but it’s all good now. I can come back and finish it when I come back. Everyone who watched me edit says it’s really funny, so I have good hopes of this one being my best. School, school, school, school. Excited yet exhausted about it at the same time. I’ve recently had time to update my blog a bit, add an awesome header XD and other stuff… I have a lot in my head planned for Thanksgiving break. Build my anticipated crossbow, finish science project, work on history day project, have a Lord of the Rings marathon (WHOOHOO i can’t wait!!!), and of course a Thanksgiving celebration. And when I come back, it’ll be second trimester and I’ll have an awesome schedule. I managed to negotiate with my school counselor to have the best teachers and periods possible next trimester! I got to keep my favorite geometry teacher, well at least compared to the other choice(s), and yeah! All right. That’s all for now.
